A spokesperson for Area Wide Protective, a contractor for Duke Energy, said Amber Rooks died Sunday from injuries she sustained April 22. Rooks, 24, of Norwood, was injured when she was hit by a car on Cox Road, just south of Liberty Way, in West Chester.
